British Care Awards 2020

Well this is exciting news within a year that hasn't given anyone much chance for such things. We have been NOMINATED for The Care Team Award at the Great British Care Awards (GBCA). We are so proud to have received this nomination on behalf of our amazing Care Team.

To be considered for this the GBCA were looking at detailed criteria such as;

Team members who are clear on what their role is, and who take personal responsibility for their tasks.
Team has good communications processes.
The team understands the importance of a high level of morale.

We will be attending the awards on the awards on the 9th December, it will not be quite the same as other years where our carers had an opportunity to take off the tunics and put on those tuxedos and sparkling dresses. But we will still enjoy seeing all the other winner and runner ups via video link and look forward to celebrating everybody's achievements during this challenging year. Hopefully you will see a post the day after celebrating our triumph (not that we are competitive or anything!).

Just thought I would get in touch and let you know that all the family dealing with Mum are delighted with Affinity Homecare. From a personal point of view I find them good with Mum and if there is any problems with Mum they do not hesitate to contact me and ask for my opinion before trying something new - that makes me feel like I am still in touch with what happens to Mums care. Mum is eating so much better and enjoys her evening calls with the carers when she will have a cuppa and a chat with the carers whilst watching Corrie...
